We left beautiful Oaxca and travelled in our Mercedes MexTrotter minivan, to this cute place called Mitla. The church was beautiful as was its famous 2000 yr old cypress tree. We visited these ruins and got to climb in caves. They had these wee markets closeby and I purchased a gorgeous black and floral scarf. Continue reading
After a six hour bus journey from Mexico city, and a wee taxi ride from the Oaxaca bus station, it was wonderful to arrive in a small, quaint, cobblestoned-street city full of vibrant colour and beautiful scenery. We stayed at Hotel Boutique Parador San Miguel. We just loved the décor and our room was large with twin beds. Hubby was so excited, he got a bed of his own. Continue reading
Deemed as one of the most dangerous cities in the world, we felt extremely safe in Mexico city. We don’t go looking for trouble, so trouble ain’t gonna find us. Supposedly sprawling with 25 million people? They must have been busy or out of town when we were there, as we didn’t notice. It’s a beautiful city. And the bonus was, being of average height we felt tall!! The peeps there are tiny. Continue reading
Secluded, safe, and serene, would be words to sum up this beautiful Pacific island. Only 3.5 hrs flight with Air New Zealand weekly from Auckland, Niue cannot be compared with any other island. It’s so unique. The scuba-diving, snorkeling and fishing is world-class due to the visibility. Crystal-clear or gin-like warm waters and stunning sunsets. Sssh this is our secret. Continue reading
