Fab new spot near Port Denarau, Fiji
Thanks to lovely, local Laura’s recommendation, foodietraveller was hot to trot to experience a new cafe in Denarau. Newly opened Cafe O is the creation of experienced F & B Manager and current Wedding Stylist, Cherie Oyagawa-Smith. Cherie, half Samoan and half Japanese, has spent many years in Fiji and her family has now settled in New Zealand. Her cafe theme was influenced by her Prof Chef brother John, who runs a successful Cafe O catering business in Grey Lynn, Auckland. Note to self.
Mrs Kim is in the kitchen
On a recent Friday night, we were supposed to eat at the Cuba St night market, however I’m not sure how but we ended up at the former ‘Arirang’, now Mrs Kim’s Korean Kitchen on the corner of Ghuznee and Victoria Street but we did. Cheap and cheerful Korean
Hubby’s favourite cuisine has always been Korean. To be honest, it’s not high on my list but it’s growing on me. I surprised him last week by saying ‘let’s go Korean for lunch’. Our date day is usually Sunday and as Arirang is closed on Sundays this was the perfect, wet Saturday spot for a cheap and cheerful lunch. Continue reading
