Matterhorn reincarnated!

After an emotional week, it was great to have a lovely gals dinner out at the new Italian hotspot – Monte Cervino (translates to The Matterhorn).  The name deliberately chosen by the ex owners of Matterhorn. Bravo Boulcott St Bistro!

Set within a white Victorian villa, good ‘ole Boulcott Bistro is still alive and well and is one of Welly’s great dining institutions. The décor is stunning. We both have a soft spot for BSB as it’s always consistent with great food and service, and it’s a five star dining experience without the pricetag. As it’s on the outskirts of the CBD you tend to forget about it, however we visit at least annually and I’d love to visit more in future. Continue reading

Taking the TGV from Paris to Bordeaux was easy. Our Quality Bordeaux Centre location was perfect being smack bang in town, but far too dangerous for shopping (not), near the longest pedestrian street in Europe; Rue St Catherine! Funnily enough we struggled to find any French bistros on the street but sniffed out a newly opened Singapore Street Food restaurant. Our lunch was sensational. Continue reading
