Raglan Roast Coffee’s mission is to “make coffee, that’s great, fast and affordable” – and boy are they en point! They started with an old coffee machine at the back of a kite surfing shop, 16 years ago. They have matured and now working with the best coffee brewing and grinding equipment, producing amazing tasting coffee. The secret? Roasting daily to ensure their coffee is in primo, fresh condition. They have 8 locations in New Zealand; 3 in Hamilton, 1 in Nelson and 4 in Welly. Continue reading

When Pappa Rich first opened in Grey St, opposite Hotel InterContinental, there was a queue to get in. This is always the way in Wellington and although I don’t like to wait, I love the fact that it demonstrates that Wellingtonians are curious foodies. We’re eager to test and support new venues. If you’re a Wellingtonian and you still feel a little cheated with our summer, although it’s making up for it, you won’t be cheated of your riches here. The food is fabulous and affordable. France; Bordeaux to Sarlat

Taking the TGV from Paris to Bordeaux was easy. Our Quality Bordeaux Centre location was perfect being smack bang in town, but far too dangerous for shopping (not), near the longest pedestrian street in Europe; Rue St Catherine! Funnily enough we struggled to find any French bistros on the street but sniffed out a newly opened Singapore Street Food restaurant. Our lunch was sensational. Continue reading
