Thanks to lovely, local Laura’s recommendation, foodietraveller was hot to trot to experience a new cafe in Denarau. Newly opened Cafe O is the creation of experienced F & B Manager and current Wedding Stylist, Cherie Oyagawa-Smith. Cherie, half Samoan and half Japanese, has spent many years in Fiji and her family has now settled in New Zealand. Her cafe theme was influenced by her Prof Chef brother John, who runs a successful Cafe O catering business in Grey Lynn, Auckland. Note to self.
Vietnamese Saigon Grill Bar is next to Ombra on Cuba St. How super Cuba Dupa! This place was the former Orsini’s and has had a zillion name changes since then. I think this one will stay. Continue reading
I wasn’t sure what to expect, however I was pleasantly surprised with the makeover of the old Chicago Bar; where I used to perform. What a fab job they’ve done. You wouldn’t recognise it now as it’s transformed dramatically into Munchen; a German foodhall/beerhouse. Continue reading
