What an exciting few weeks. My recent discovery on the cafe scene was the Ekor bookshop and cafe. How spesh and quaint is this little place managed by bibliophile Niki Ward! It’s along from Caffe L’affare, and across the road from Moore Wilsons in College St.

Eat Study Drink!

Memories flooded back from my ‘uni’ (or ‘varsity’) days when I visited Victoria University campus for a coffee meeting. In those dark ages, we had two cafes; one for the BP’s (beautiful people) and the other nick-named as the ‘scungy’ cafe. Ours had filter coffee served in brown, now retro, arcoroc mugs, with an occasional afghan biscuit. I never ever visited the other one of course as the ‘eye candy’ was not the same. Continue reading

Georgia’s espresso is yet another innovative container cafe that’s opened up by the Zeal crew, on the corner of Dixon and Victoria Streets. It’s all for a good cause supporting barista training in Wellington. Read post on the original Stories espresso container cafe –www.foodietraveller.co/stories. They have also been part of Wellyonaplate by serving different filled doughnuts for 10 days; each of which are created by various Welly chefs along with their fantastic People’s coffee.
