Welly is always opening and closing cafes right. If it wasn’t for your trusted, honest foodietraveller blogger, most of you foodies would be none the wiser perhaps. Mind you the DomPost Life Insert on Wednesdays, is great for keeping us all up to date with the café/restaurant movers and shakers. Continue reading
Anything French, I’m sold. My darling friend Hemma who abandoned me in Welly and moved to Auckland, suggested Catroux as a place for our catchup. How she knows me so well. This was so love at first sight. Continue reading
Mention brisket, and my stomach does somersaults. In like Flynn. Hubby and I loved our bbq brisket in Texas last year, so to have Lucky Strike, a unique outdoor setting pop up in Welly, 12-14 Tory Street, behind The Lanes bowling alley, I can’t tell you how excited I was. Continue reading

Second visit to Husk Bar; Brewery, Roastery and Café as I needed to give them another chance. Hubby humoured me and was keen to try this place for Sunday lunch. First visit was with my adorable French/Kiwi friend Annick, we loved everything but it was spoiled by the service from a middle-age grumpy waitress, Fortunately she was not here today, so hopefully has moved on. Everything today was just fabbo. Phew. Continue reading
Nothing excites me more than sharing with you, my annual trip to Denarau Fiji. Hubby goes for work so I tag along for the ride and enjoy a week of bliss by the pool. Fiji will always be my home away from home as we’ve been coming here for years so it’s very familiar. It’s nice to see a few changes too. Continue reading
