Will the real Slim Shady please stand up, please stand up! Slim Davey’s Friendly Neighbourhood saloon (a bit of a mouthful but quirky), reminds me of that Eminem song. This pub is next door to and owned by the boys from Ortega Fish Shack and Bar in Marjoribanks St. Mt Victorians are so lucky as this is yet another cool place in their hood with Five Boroughs, the Mt Vic Chippery and Capitol.
Cheap and cheerful lunches are a well-earned reward for us, post a hard hill walk on a Sunday. This time we stumbled on Singapura in Tory St, opposite Moore Wilson’s. It’s basic, clean and tidy inside. It unfortunately has had it’s fair share of not so good reviews but this doesn’t deter me. This was worth foodietraveller’s time. Continue reading
It’s refreshing to find a healthy cafe that serves nutritious food that caters for the GF, vegan, dairy-free and Paleo/primal followers amongst us. This is more upmarket compared to your Tank, Kapai or Habitual Fix salad/smoothie places. I make all this food at home but do have more protein, however this hit the spot perfectly when I was stood-up for lunch today! Continue reading
