Taormina, Sicily – bucket- list for sure!
A quick stop in Messina, en route to Taormina was had. My screenplay opens in this city on the 15th August so I just had to be in alignment with it. Being the Feast of the Assumption, town was closed and quiet but nonetheless, I wore white to pay my respects to the Virgin Mary. Continue reading
Local Brooklyn Indian restaurant
Recently I got my swagger on and headed to Swagat, the new local Indian restaurant in Brooklyn. I was joined by Emma, Marc and baby Penelope, who are big lovers of Indian food. Since it opened, I had been observing the clientele and all hours of the day it was frequented by Indian businessmen, friends and families, so that spoke volumes. Continue reading
Sourdough Wellington
Being an obsessed foodie, I was delighted to learn about this wee hidden gem in our Left Bank alleyway off Cuba St. When I say hidden, I mean hidden so I’ll set you the challenge and you have fun with it. Continue reading
Vietnamese, Thai or Laos?
Tonight peeps we headed out to the burbs, meeting half way between Upper Hutt and Wellington with friends in Petone. Only a slightly 6 year overdue catchup! K Sing was their restaurant suggestion. We’d never heard of it, so bottle in wine in hand, table booked, we were good to go. Continue reading

A group of peeps have poured their creativity into doing everything here on site; from brewing their own beer, curing their charcuterie, kneading their dough and even roasting their own coffee. Their focus is on pickling and fermentation. Love that. Post our traditional big Sunday walk, we did a swing by. Continue reading

Squeaky clean investment!
I was encouraged to write this gut-health blog by two dear friends, Maria and Hema. I was hesitant as it’s not within the realms of restaurant/travel reviews, however it’s part of my health and wellness lifestyle. I hope you learn something from my journey. Continue reading
Air NZ Business class in-flight service!
I’m fortunate that I’ve experienced Air New Zealand business class so many times now. Airline of the year 2017 you can see why! It’s always, always absolutely fantastic from whoah to go, and hubby suggested I do a blog post for something different. As the lights are dimmed, it doesn’t do my pics justice, however you’ll get the gist for sure. Continue reading
El sizzling chorizo
Wow Ponsonby Central is foodie heaven and foodie dilemma at the same time. I visited here when in Auckland on a prior trip, not around meal time and put this on my foodie list for this visit. This is a MUST stop. Continue reading
