I was so excited to return to Loretta in Cuba Street, this time for brunch. I had dinner there when it first opened, and my woodfired roast chook with lemon and rosemary was the pick of the bunch. The boys enjoyed their schnitzel and the fish was tasty. I was surprised that hubby chose the pate as he didn’t realise it was artichoke with olive and almonds, however it was delicious. The New York baked cheesecake got the thumbs up also. Our bottle of red was really good and the wine list is extensive.

Quick trip to Argentina from Wellington?

Hola. Geez I have been a busy gal about town lately as have have been out for lunch and a dinner this week. Heaven, I’m in heaven. I was going to try one of the new restaurants up Cuba St (the Cuba Quarter as it’s now known as),  but it was closed. A negative always turns into a positive, so we were excited about returning for my fourth visit to Matador, Cafe Asador (Argentine grill) and bar. Continue reading
