I was so excited to learn that the Beach House & Kiosk, a former cringeworthy café, not far from my Brooklyn hood, had been kissed by a frog and turned into a Princess. All credit of course goes to ex Elements café owners Scott and Nicola Barrett. These guys have a great rep and they’ve struck gold yet again.
6th visit to Melbourne and this time blogging was my purpose, with a wee spot of shopping and sightseeing thrown in for good measure. My eatathon will be one I won’t forget quickly and has set the scene for future visits.
Goodness how uncanny that Fidel Castro just recently died and I’ve just revisited his namesake peaceful place in Welly. This actually wasn’t our first choice for the gals regular catchup but the menu across the road just didn’t do it for us, so Fidels it was. It’s a Wellington institution and you just never tire of it as it just rocks all day long morning, lunch and dinner. So we’ve had the third biggest quake in 100 years in Welly recently yet it ‘s nice to know a nicer type of shaking has taken place in upper Cuba St. Sweet Bakery and Cakery has opened with amazing cakes and design-your-own shakes.
