This is about my fifth visit to Mama Brown but no post as it was in my pre-blogging days. They’ve since changed their menu and their hours. Now open Wed- Sunday, they’ve finally realised that they need to open earlier on weekends. Each time I’ve driven by on a weekend, I’ve noticed how much fuller the café is. However my bug bear is, if they open at 9am, they should be ready to go at 9am. Not be taking chairs off tables and wiping tables. This is not ok. Continue reading
We all loved Kirks, but I also really love its replacement; David Jones. More-so because we beat the Aucklanders to something for a change!. It’s a huge magnet for the city as well. There’s just something international and classy about it, and it exudes great energy. David Jones stores in Aussie are complimented with lovely cafes to match. Ours isn’t quite there yet, but has oodles of potential.
Secluded, safe, and serene, would be words to sum up this beautiful Pacific island. Only 3.5 hrs flight with Air New Zealand weekly from Auckland, Niue cannot be compared with any other island. Bonus post this week. Ok so you know I’m not a pie, doughnut or burger gal but every now and then I decide to splash out to satisfy my curiosity and have some fun. I choose to live a healthy clean lifestyle 95 % of the time as I want to live a long life without any major illness or disease. So I only decided late in the week to do a Welly on a plate burger challenge.

GMB (doh that’s how you remember it) is the sister restaurant of Logan Brown’s. They have created a casual joint with a focus on sticky ribs, juicy burgers and crafted beer.
Being a fan of Boulcott Bistro’s, I had to try their sister cafe recently opened on Willis Street. Now painted a bright blue it was the former Crazyhorse Steakhouse. Continue reading
