My wee little trendy local here in Nadi, Fiji. Offering a great selection of espressos, lattes, mochas, iced coffees using Piazza D’Oro brand, teas, frappes, smoothies, shakes and juices.
Their selection of baking changes daily and today I see gluten free brownies (delicious), savoury muffins, chocolate custard donuts (yummo), chocolate dipped cupcakes and macarons.
They are open from 630 am to 6pm; perfect Fijian lifestyle hours. I’m already salivating at the menu and I’ve already had my smoothie and flat white. The menu changes daily and they accommodate special dietary requirements. Yippee cay-eh!
They have just changed their menu and I got to try an amazing toasted brioche ham, cheese sandwhich with a fried egg on top and some fried potaotes. Fiji heaven. Other brekkie offerings are mango and coconut mini loaf, Bircher muesli, bacon and egg baguette, pancakes with mango and coconut syrup or eggs benedict. There is a range of chicken, vege or chorizo salad sandwiches, plus even some grazing platters including salt and pepper prawns, hummus, ricotta, baba ghanoush and sesame seed lavosh to share at lunch or late afternoon with friends. You can then go whole hog with caramelised pork belly ( pun intended) or fresh tuna Nicole’s salad.
They cater for special occasions and have some wedding cakes on display. They have funky music playing and even sell Fijian cd’s and wee handmade soaps! Bonus of course is free wi-fi.
I chatted to the barista (whom I just discovered, is also the barista at La Parisienne at the Sofitel Denarau) said the owner is European with Fiji citizenship. Well I have to say Mr Owner that you truly have created a wee gem here that I’m prepared to bleat on about it to others. Well done! I will bring my hubby and friends here on our next trip!
